At least you are honest on your capabilities. You have a lot of people who are too cocky and destroy things instead of fixing them.

First thing to look for is metal shavings is a big indicator of bad bearings or something goin bad..but even then I would recomend pulling the block out an jus bring it to the machine shop your familiar with....fuk it's winter take your time..well that's if you have another whip to get you around...

yeah there is a lot of bearing talk but if you bent valves you could have a broken or bent valve guide or a bent valve seat if there is no metal in the pan i would throw the head away and start fresh!! but if there is copper metal specks in the pan its def a bearing.

That's the thing. I just had the head completely done by center auto...they took it apart and said that valves were bent, and 1 valve guide...so they replaced valves, seals, lma's and the valve guide....but the problem stays...

so UPDATE!!! The machine shop has the block..I had bad bearings, cylinder walls were scared, and piston sides were scared also...so the block is being done over...AGAIN.... NEW PISTONs, BEARINGS, AND ALL THE MACHINE WORK.. should be done by Saturday and the motor should be back in by the weekend after...THEN I'M SELLING....IF ANY1 IS INTERESTED PM ME SERIOUS OFFERS ONLY...IT WILL BE A BRAND NEW MOTOR ...IT WILL NEED TUNING...I'M NOT PUTTING MORE $ ON IT TO SELL IT AFTER.and the car would come with steelies & hubcaps.... I START SCHOOL IN JANUARY AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR TUITION OUT OF POCKET.... I'm wheeling to trade for a NICE chill car and money on top.. or for a bike and money on top..
