H22T KNOCKING from head

PLEASE HELP. If is not 1 thing is another.....w.t.f...

99 Prelude with Mahle 9-1 Pistons with Eagle Rods, ARP Head/Main Studs, . The engine has a loud knocking noise at low RPM's that seems to subside with RPM's It's possible that the engine noise overpowers the noise and it still exists but it's less audible with RPm's..under valve cover everything looks fine and a valve adjustment was just done since I thought it was the valves so I had machine shop inspect the head and replace all valves.they also said everything else on head was good..... The sound almost sounds like a rod knock but it definitely sounds like it's coming from the head. the knocking noise seems to come from lower on the head.I had gone under the car to see if it sounds like a rod bearing , but no...the block is 100% quiet... PLEASE HELP

And after I'm done fixing and retuning ill be posting it up 4SALE! LOL.....jk

HELP PLEASE !! .how can I knw when is piston slap? I have mahle 9-1 , eagle rods.. Can u help with ideas? I had the head removed and all valves replaced but nothing else was wrong with head acording to machine shop...and is not coming from under the car....when I had the head off I noticed the cylinder walls scared... but pistons seem to be in good shape..when I did compression test b4 I removed head and it was 150 all across...is that the righ compr

ummm im pretty sure this happened to my buddys lsvtec, it was comming from the center rockers...I THINK that was it...

but im shot and remember nothing.

hmm not good you mite have a bad wrist pin bro but niose travels so you never know can be a bearing.

But that's the thing..the noise started b4 I took it apart. That's y I took the head to machine shop and all he found was bent valves....now I put the head back on and still same noise!!! This sucks

Might sound kinda stupid but same sh!t happiend to me and turned out it was a loose spark plug ...driveing me nutz for weeks tho lmao

Did you ever figure out y the valves were bent in the first place...to me it sounds like a rod bearing... Can u get vids an post them...I'd rather hear it than read about it .. It'll help out alot with the diagnosing the problem... Low end knock usually is a rod bearing issue...

yes and as soon as the bearing starts to go your piston to valve clearance mite be compromised.

But when I had the head off, the pistons were in perfect shape..if it was hitting the valves wouldn't the pistons be marked?
