  • H22 EVAP issues please help

I am so close to legally passing emissions in the state of CT. Currently my only check engine light code is P0441 Evaporative Emission control System Incorrect Purge Flow. I need to fix the EVAP system so that I can continue to enjoy my baby.

Here is a recap of my setup:
    1996 Civic DX Hatch MT
    1998 H22A4 Prelude motor and trans (non-SH)
1996 P13-A12 ECU out of the Prelude Si-VTEC

Since I have to make the 96 ecu happy, my EVAP system is a copy of the 96 Si-VTEC.

Here is the parts diagram for the EVAP purge controls for that car

Part labeled as 1 is the EVAP purge control solenoid valve
Part labeled as 5 is the EVAP purge flow switch

I have my system set up exactly like this but I am lost as to the correct wiring for these two units. I can find wiring diagrams for the 92-96 Prelude but none of them seem to be for the 96 Si-VTEC. I assume they both have one wire that goes to the black/yellow sensor voltage and that the other wires go to locations on the ECU.

I am using the stock civic fuel canister on the firewall since it is exactly like the one for the 96 Si-VTEC. (Number 9 in this diagram)

The OBD1 wiring diagram has the EVAP purge control solenoid valve going to location A20 on the ECU. The OBD2 diagram show an EVAP bypass solenoid valve at A28 and the EVAP control canister vent shut valve at A29.

Here is how my set up looks now

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am responding from my Blackberry so I cannot see the pictures, my question is do the prelude call for a fuel tank pressure sensor. Some of those cars came with a firewall mounted map sensor which monitored purge flow/fuel tank pressure. I will refer to my own diagrams to see if I can find anything to help. David
