  • H22a vtec problem

Why would vtec cut out. It only hits vtec from time to time what could be causing this?

does this always happen at normal operating temp?

check your oil level. I wouldn't doubt your low on oil.

make sure that the oil pan is not dented in. I have seen many H/F series fall out of vtec when the pan was damaged.

x2 beat me 2 it i had a h swap and couldnt find out why the fuk i wasnt poppin tec so i posed something on b20 and this one dude was like check if u have a dent in ur oil pan i did i told him i did and he was like drop ur oil pan put a new one on or bang out the dent, i banged out the dent put the oil pan back on and put new oil and and it started poppin tec again.. the reason it causes ur car not to pop tec is because it blocks ur oil pick up line and causes ur motor not 2 get enough oil 2 pop vtec

truthfuly it doesnt matter if u get a new one or bang it out just take all the little 10 mm bolts off and the flywheel shield its a easy ass job just annoyin and of course drain ur oil out first and then if u bang it out take a piece of wood and put it where the dent is and then bang the shyt outta the wood dont hit it directly on and me b4 i put the oil pan on after i banged out my dent i went to honda b4 hand and bought some hondabond and put that around my oil pan gasket and then put eveything back together and put new oil and it was as good as new
