this is a quick write up on a how to do it your self GPS to track your car if it is stolen.
since the goverment now mandates that cell phone be traceable when now put that to good use.
i have done this and tested it and it works!
step one... go out and buy a prepaid phone.(boost works the best)
step 2 .... charge it over night
step 3...... find a great hideing space in the car not easy to see or get to.
step 4..... turn the fone on and lock the key pad and mount it in the hideing space.
step 5 ..... take the stock cahrger for it and eather hard wwire it in to the car to a key on power ( this will charge the batt wile you drive the car and its own batt will run it wile the car is off.
step 6 activate the phone. ( now some phone are only one for a set amount of time say 90day's..ect so make sure to reup on the min's every now and then.)
now when your car get stolen it is pretty simple CALL THE COPS! make a report let them know the car has a active cell fone in the car and it can be traciable.
next step is pretty easy sit backand waite for the car to return or if you want to be your own inforcment boost offers this find your freinds thing were ti tell you were there at. look in to it. it will tell you where the other fone is when it is 2way'ed so find your own car.
the then pro's are that if they do steal the car and try to be slick and pull the batt form the car the phones batt will still be alive.
now some fones get shitty service so make sure the one you use has service in your areas.
aslo think about it turn the ringer OFF so when youare lookin for it you dash board is not ringin away.
