anybody race the jeep?

ummm lets put it in perspective...a 106 HP single-cam nonvtec 4 door 2000 honda civic LX stock is a 9 second 0-60....now what happens when u put a DOHC B16 in a car thats simliar in weight with a better tranny STOCK...just saying...i have a B20vtec..with an LS tranny..and bolts ons...ive ripped on an auto V6 mustang by about a half car or so..the 2000 model i think it was..not tryna bag on ur ish, but i just wanna put things in perspective for you

i beat a v6 mustang (auto) in my van but its because i have 3.73's. those stangs have good low end but horrible high end which is where 4cyl shine. well we only went to 60...

he prob had aftermarket gearing. like 3.73's or 4.10's. that why he kept up with you. im pretty sure exhaust wouldn't have helped him too much. never helped my friends stang that much. or he had a v8 :p i wanna see what a car like you described would run.

near the end is a good 0-60 about 7.4 just as fast as my jeep.

big difference, see what gearing can do for you??

what im trying to say is, the jeep does well for what it has...i love just letting the clutch get me started uphill and at stop lights, i love chirping 3rd with ease, i love the 4x4, i love the speed ( until i get my turbo kit so i can still have my speed when i get my tires and lift).

hoenstly jeep guys like the best of both worlds. when i install my 2 inch lift and get 33's then i will be happy. 7.3 seconds in 4x4 high with 30 inch AT's that weigh a ton ( theres a spare in the back) with a stock clutch thats been on there since 97 and 3.55 rear end ( i think). thats pretty damn good. this jeep weighs 3400. says it on the sticker. if only i weighed less and had 20's....
