    im new just got a eg hatch for 100 has overheatin issues which porbably is thermostat, radiator cloggness or heater core. could be head gasket need to check of coolant in oil eventho i dnt see smoke coming out the rear. i currently drive a 06 wrx a normal stage 2 stock turbo nothing special got the eg cuz i cnt dd the wrx have no warranty subaru denied it and i cnt afford to blow the engine so heres the eg project track car

        thanks and yea i have a friend with a 240 that didnt take time on the car to do things right and swaped a sr20det in it with out knowing anythin and car runs like a one legged grandma. hes payig now 3000 for it to be installed right and wired right

              As far as the overheating issue, the older D-Series motors were produced with one of those cheap flexible/fiber gaskets, that always blow, & cause overheating issues. Throw a NEW up-dated MLS Head Gasket on it, & you'll be good to go.

              Or you could just swap in a better motor.

                  if your keeping it stock i don't think u would .. its not a need thing as i understand more of an assurance when building motors .... welcome nd have fun

                    thanks but the stock motor wont be messed with will be gettin somethin else wanna stay N/A all the way with this one. and ls or ks are no nos for me and H's seem a bit heavy but we'll see leanin more towards the b's or sohc vtecs thatll be insane sohc NA 10's on 1/4 high hopes

                            well here a quick update on the hatch im nolonger stayin N/A since a friend is giving me his STI turbo for $50 with 12k miles on it. also i bought a pair of type-s seats for $50/seat from a friend and took off the head and found something fun to deal with....i also will be picking up a d16 junkyard didnt tell me wether its a y or zc but its a 1.6 vtec all they told me was they took it out of thier crx to put in the b20
