Help!! Water pipe to thermostat housing

Any advice on how to connect this thing?
The water pipe that goes to the thermostat housing?
On a 95 gsr
I jammed it in as much as I can, but there's still alittle bit of the lip sticking out and it's leaking

make sure the o ring isnt too big or too small

Try put some lube on so it slips all the way on nd ur good if u have new o rings simple as that the lub is to ensure a slip fit not jamming it on
