  • Need help with swap

Hey Ctv I'm swapping out my hatch and need help

    I have a B18c1 bored Out 2 a 85mm with J.e pistons eagle rods / crank a lot of stuff

    b16 head semi built

First question what head gasket will I use I was thinking on a b20 but I don't know because b20 I think is 84mm

And should I use a block guard on this build or leave it as is

    Thanks Ctv

Don't fuck with block guards. I've heard nothing but bad news from them. Warped cylinder heads and them breaking. Your best bet is to sleeve the block of your bord out to an 85. I'm pretty sure you can order an 85 mm head gasket online.

I would get golden eagle head gasket. I personally don't like block guards . If u get one . Make sure it's installed at the proper depth and don't force it in. 85mm on stock sleeves. Seams like a time bom to me. Good luck with build.

Wit 85mm on stock sleeves the walls are going to be thin. The headgaskrt u can get online but for the block wit 85mm pistons I say get the block sleeved

How much do they usually charge to sleeve the block because I really don't want this build to blow up in my face especially since it's turbo

A good set of Darton sleeves will set you back $600 + machining.
