Expect to get a hacked junker thats rusted, repainted, primer hood and a LS engine swap with grinding gears. Pay $1500 for an auto ek from an old man and convert everything yourself. If someone told me this years ago I would praise them today.

For $3000 you can find something really clean. Your best bet would be to check craigslist but look because they go quick!

3000 is definetely a good amount. Its 3 times as much as the average member on this site tries to pay for a car.

I see some on craiglist, but what engine is a good starter? I would eventually swap to something faster, but what can satisfy me for rn? is a b18 decent? or should I just do what ^^ guy said and buy cheap and do it myself.

B20vtec gsr LSD tranny with some high compression pistons and mild cams with a decent tune. Traction is your friend good luck finding it.
