  • turbo boosting

Ok so im tryna go boost this my first time. I already go an LS block which is good for boost. I wanna know what vtec head and what cams to throw on there. Also 84.5mm 9:1 comp pistions is what imma be running on the block but not sure what brand is good. Also not sure on what valve train. Not tryna push crazy horsepower. Tryna push around 400-500 hp range. Something good for the street & track. Info will be appreciated. Lmk boost heads!

Why run 84.5mm? That would require sleeving which is expensive and not necessary for your power goals. Run 81.5mm forged cp,wiseco, je or any other reputable brand. Eagle rods. B16 head type r cams and valve train . Good IM etc

84.5 is crazy on a ls, ls come stock 81mm and 84mm is a stock b20 so your cylinder walls will be crazy thin and stock sleeves will break

I was gonna sleeve it but I guess I wont. Do heads really matter or not? I was gonna strip one completely and get a good complete valve train but not sure what brand.

Like others here have said a good set of pistons and rods I personally like to do arp main studs and arp head studs. IMHO your bottom end bearing clearances are probably one of the most important things when building for boost so clevites or something along those lines.

B16s are usually better for boost. More flow

If u got the money to sleeve it go ahead and do it. I wouldn't got over board with the 84.5mm . 81 or 81.5 Will gave you enough space to open you if anything goes wrong

Might as well use a b20 block.

Reliability out the window with those power goals. I do not care what anyone else has to say about that. 500hp on stock sleeves is a ticking time bomb. Now let me hear it from the guys who know a guy who knows a guy whos cousins boy is pushin 1000hp on a stock LS with a ebay turbo kit stock injectors.
                    Honda sucks. Over priced junk.

It's all in the tune and how your drive is daily. For these power goals CSS would be a great choice to help on reliability.
