  • stripped nut on d15b intake mani

    so i go to take the nuts off to switch intake manis and the bottom center nut is stripped... how the hell do i remove this? help asap

    12 sided 12mm or 11mm.. Craftsman also sells a stripped bolt kit which works very well.

      Tryed them already. It just rounds it more...I pb blasted it. Tryed a little bit of heat nothing... Nearest sears to me s 45min lol. Guess I'll b taking a nice long burny to get some tools.

            I would help but u prob don't want me to also is it in the car? If not get a dremel nd grind 2 sides flat the use vise grips I have new studs everything if u need

              It is in the car... Don't even have room to get a socket and ratchet in thir. I tryed to use a hack saw place with vice grips but that didn't work either. How much for the studs?

                If u have the intake off use wisegrips to take the stud off...than go to lowes or homedepot and buy a m8x1.25 bolt about 30mm long simple as 1 2 3 lol

                    Tap it with a hammer few times than try again...I just used visegrips on my b16 heads to change the studs for longer ones to use a thermogasket nd they all came out just fine

                      His problems isn't the studs..yet..his issue is the nut is stripped

                      but man ill give u a couple free and ik how it is u would have to attack it from under the car like I said use a dremel tool to grind 2 perpendicular flat spots on the nut and use vise grips to loosen it u might have to take off the oil filter for more room
