Yellow HIDs

You guys know if the cops in CT really bust down on these yellow lights?

I ordered a set of 3000K yellow HIDs and am wondering if they really crack down on these in CT. :cool:

I never get pulled over in CT that much. But when I cross state, which happens a lot, I get pulled over in NY a lot on I-84.

on my black hatch, i had yellow bulbs and foglights.. they gave me a warning.

i got pulled over once cuz one of my HIDS was out and the cop asked me 2 turn on my high beams and i have yellow high beam bulbs and he didnt say ish about it

Article 14-137-101

"Any light visible from the front shall be white, yellow, or amber."

But, I ain't stupid. HIDs on vehicles not having HIDs as OEM....is illegal

Also, federal code (SAE) states that they must be white...but thats on federal roads..

State jurisdiction probably applies..

NY = illegal
CT = legal
NJ = illegal
PA = illegal but not stressed

Yeah, I got pulled over on North Ave for having one out. He just asked for license/reg...asked me if it was turboed...cause his son has a turboed hatch...I told him its stock, made for looks...he laughed and let me go. Told me to upgrade the engine. :D

hmm.. i forgot what i said. it was awhilee back. and he also got me for my rear turn signals kuhs they were flashing white instead of red or yellow. :mad:

You have a new RSX, tho. Lol. I can try the same thing. My brother has those yellow JDM ones, not the cheap ones or the HIDs...

He never got bothered in the state he's in. But I know in places like Danbury, Bethel, West Haven, Norwalk, etc..the cops are probably looking for something to do. :rolleyes:

I've had yellow bulbs on and off for a couple years. On;y had a problem once in Monroe. Young cop, said he wasn't sure if they were legal or not. Gave me a warning, had to go to DMV to have them checked. Which ended up being a whole other hassle.
