Has anyone bought a used tranny from Chuck and Eddies and come across any issues? I'm about to buy one for my suv but I'm nervous. They have a 6 month warranty on their parts but if I get it installed and it doesn't operate properly what about the money I just spent on the labor?

lkq is def the way to go, we use them occasionaly for used parts on older vehicles at the dealership i work at, also good place to get used engines and transmissions, you can buy extended warranties that are pretty good aswell.Originally posted by lsj203Can I make payments???

I bought a motor with no issues at all from chuckandeddies..i saw it posted on their site.i watched the YouTube video of it running. I took the ride to southington ct and I had them lift up the entire car so that I can get a full look at everything.everything looked perfectly fine. Clean coolant ,clean oil, etc.no major leaks at all.so I came back home and I purchased it online since I saved 20% by using a code and also didn't have to pay core charge online.plus they delivered it for free.couldnt be beat.still running perfectly fine.i have also purchased other parts with no issues.my motor was from a auction car.it was smashed in the front.luckily,it never touched the engine at all ;)Last edited by jdmdikk; 10-09-2013, 05:49 PM.Originally posted by knuckk@jdmdikk only dude i would take advice from.

I bought a motor and a tranny from chuck and eddies with no problems what so ever. Ikq is also good. There is also a place called A-rite that will do the labor for u so if the tranny is no good they eat the labor not u. I had a jeep a few years back that I had them do the tranny in. I paid $500 for the tranny and $500 for labor like 3 months later it started slipping so I brought it back and they actually went out band bought an auction car so they could use the tranny for my car. U might also want to shop around private places and see what it would cost u to get your tranny rebuilt.
