Vin number question

Whats up ctv Im interested in buying a car that got stolen at one point and they stole all the vins and ct assigned it a new vin. Car still has a clean title. You guys ever hear of anything like this?

The title becomes clean because of new vins assigned. Don't necessary means the car wasn't involved in any crash or theft

unless you are getting it for almost free i would steer away from it. unless you know the owner and know exactly what happen to it
