  • B20 into GSR help

    Wats up guys, unfortunately my gsr motor is shot so bcuz of my budget for now I planning to drop a b20 into my 94 gsr body,
    I'm a newb and need help on what exactly I may need for the conversion
    Also any problems I may run into while making the swap?
    The body is obd1 and most likely the b20 is obd2
    Any help is appreciated

    Obd1 ls dizzy and use ur alternator from gsr

        You have everything else already lucky for you it's gonna be a easy straight forward swap but if I where you I'd go b20 vtec since you already have the head
        I know your car is fast, you were hauling ass when I passed you

          My head may be done not sure until I pull the motor, so
          I need obd1 LS dizzy, my gsr alternator....
          Wat ecu should I use?
          Axles?
          Any wiring ill have to change?

                Obd1 ls ecu axles and wire harness are the same u need an obd1 ls dizzy nd u have to use the injectors and alternator from the gsr everything is pretty much plug and play

                        U need the intake manifold off of a obd1 ls motor and you need to swap out the driver side motor mount on the motor itself with the gsr one if the b20 just came out a crv. A impact gun would just make it easier but u can do it with out. You can use the same axles and clutch and flywheel because I'm assuming you will be using the gsr transmission.

                            yea ls ecu, dizzy and intake manifold, everything else( clutch n flywheel, axles, starter, injectors and even alt can reuse from gsr) cant use gsr intake mani as it wont bolt up and has the secondary butterflies.

                            ps. got a virgin obd1 ls ecu for sale if you looking for one

                              If your head turns out to good or worth saving I'd still do a b20 vtec plus gsr trans = nice little bundle of joy
