Rust Prevention For Winter

Hi guys,

In the UK there is a company called "Rustmaster". They pretty much clean your undercarriage and spray anti-rust chemicals (assuming POR 15),

Are there any shops that do this in CT?

How safe is this?

unless all the rust is completely removed then this wouldn't be a good idea. also if its not completely dry its going to trap in moisture making it rust even worse.

Why would it not help if the rust is all gone? Wouldn't spraying this stuff on top just take care of it?

they usually undercoat new cars before they see the road. undercoating your car now is just going to trap in the rust and most likely speed up the process. unless you sand blast all the rust off theres no point not to mention if the shop doing the job does it wrong its going to trap in moistureand make it worse faster.

My 96 hx coupe was done at manchester honda back In 96 it only had 6 miles on it wen is was done lol not a spot of rust no were and it got 218k on it now so I guess it does work lol I think its gotta b done wen tha car is new cause ur just gonna trap tha rust and then itll just get worse

when i worked at middletown toyota i would watch them do this in a half azz way.
