Warning ticket for Loud exhaust

Whats up guys,

I have a problem.yesterday I got pulled over for the first time at Southington for my exhaust been too loud.Today I put my silencer on & went to dmv for the inspection.the guy told me to accelerate the car to 4-5 RPM.He was using a tool to determine if is loud or not. When the revs go up the exhaust is not loud but when the revs go down thats when it gets loud.Thats what the guy told me so I failed the sound test or whatever is called. I need to replace my exhaust in 20 days.I need the help from you guys that live here in CT & had the same problem before to what should I do.thanks

Find someone with a stock exhaust put it on your car and go pass the test. Then when you pass paint the part of your muffler that is showing black. Cops like shiny shit. Then keep your silencer in and you won't have the problem again.

It's funny I've gotten those before and never went in for a test cuz I had no cat just straight pipe from the header back and I never had a issue sometimes I feel like they don't take that shit serious

Are you trying to fight a ticket? Or did you get one of those warning slips that say you need to have this fixed in X amount of days or your registration is suspended.

If it's the warning slip i've gotten a few, never did anything, and all was fine..

If you wanna keep your exhaust on and pass the test take your silencer off pack it with sos pads put your silencer back on and get test done youll pass then just take silencer off and rev your car up youll shoot all the sos pads out lol worked for me before
