^x2 !!!! and thats a test pipe man.. how TF do think a hollow pipe is gonna do the same thing as a Cat??, ur answer is no. Your other answer about the check engine light is possibly. It depends. But there are things you can do it it did happen. If u want a cat than look for a oem replacement or a highflow cat. A test pipe is not a high flow cat. Its a pipe with flanges that looks like a high flow cat from the outside.
