  • another workbench husky cabinets diy shelves

Hey guys, so after making a previous workbench for my harbor freight tool cabinets. I really just wanted to make another one but different in it own way. So to save some money instead of buying 4x4's I glued 2x4s together. I wanted it to be more heavy duty than my last workbench.
I got this...I used the same concept with using bolts.

I got the idea of making some levels after seeing the guys who did the hockey puck one. So I used some scrap metal from welding school and and tacked on some bolts. I just need to trim the bolt down shorter and they will be mounted when I have time to drill through the legs. But in all I made 6 of these and sprayed it with the rattle can

I said to myself why not make a few shelves since the plastic ones I had weren't doing me any justice. I made this one that was like 6ftx4ft x1ftish. Then I made another that was 6ftx2ftx2ft for my so called battery bank.

I was going to buy another harbor freight tool cabinet until homedepot had a sale on their husky cabinet for $298 and it came with a top and bottom.

there is the finished workbench and the tool cabinet fitted in. I left the top cabinet of top. The workbench is 8ft long.

Here are my shelves. I can put more heavier things on it, but it will be finish for my powder coating stuff and any liquid things.

here is the other shelf and the batteries on the bottom and a few temporary spot for suspension parts prepping for powder coat.

here is my temporary control board for my solar set up and the 2000 watt power inverter on the bottom of that:beer:

decided to make a pegboard for this garage much more simpler could be better

here is everything from far is a bit tight but I would rather have something better than nothing

here is the project car 1994 acura integra in the front you can see that it is a bit tight but I have plans for her and make it a rhd and swapping in a j32:thumbup:

I decided to organize my cabinets and add thick kitchen liner. I spent about $100 on a lot of rolls. The thicker ones are better and when I put the wrenches in place you really have to shake the drawers to get them out of place.

    here is the bottom cabinet

I also added my socket and organized those using particle board and 1 1/2 wood screws. Dowels would have been nice but it already took long enough just to get these organized so drilling holes was not an option for the time being.
