What could Mint be defined as, maybe a slightly dented hood? Or maybe even better, supposedly mint wheels for sale that are scratched up/paint chipping?
Okay so basically what I'm trying to say is I am very sick of people who claim that there parts they are selling are MINT!!! What do you think the definition of Mint means? According to a lot of things on here for sale no offense but when they are claimed as MINT and then seen in person it is most definitely not. For example, If you are going out to look at some guys hood for lets say a civic hatchback and they say MINT!!! I am expecting paint not really chipped/no rust/no dents/MAYBE 1 or 2 little dings. SO like 9/10 or 10/10 or even 8/10 at the very lowest to even consider the part is MINT condition. I just want to clarify this with everyone here to see if my definition of MINT is the same as yours? Im not looking for negative responses they will be pointless...just because you can't argue scratched rims that were described as MINT!
I have been looking for parts for my car, and I'm the type of guy if I am spending a good amount of money for something I want it to be very good condition if not MINT...so what I'm trying to say is I message someone for a hood..and I ask what is the condition of it and they respond with MINT I am thinking ABSOLUTELY NO DENTS/PAINT CHIPPING/RUST/MULTIPLE DINGS! I have driven to Bridgeport multiple times for parts being told they were MINT like wheels/body parts and of course after 30-40 min of driving I get there and It looks like ass. I mean common I'm not trying to be too anal on every little thing that has to be perfect but if you state that your part you are selling is MINT it is very obvious that it is great condition! According to many things I have came across on here that were supposedly MINT have changed my thoughts of what MINT could mean? Meaning I guess some of you people think that a dented hood is MINT condition I can bring up an example...
On that thread it shows a hood for sale 100$ MINT...not even looking at it in person and I see in the picture that there are some dents on the front part of the hood. I mean come on now thats pretty bad, also look at the paint condition, I know some of you would say who cares about paint because you are going to paint it but what about someone looking for a (MINT) hood in that same color apparently they want to go buy this one according to the wording not picture...
I Just think some people think a little too much when they use the word MINT..Here is the definition of mint...from dictionary.com--you have to scroll down to find it on the site(not the herb stuff)
5.unused or appearing to be newly made and never used: a book in mint condition.
I'm trying to say is just beware sometimes that pictures don't show everything and also beware when people post something for sale and says it looks like the picture, and it truly doesn't in person. SO I would be specific with those situations. I'm not trying to flame just trying to save someone gas money/time/and pointless driving.
Choose words wisely..
Thanks
