put a small amount of backing soda/ hot water in a spray bottle and mist it in the vents of your car it will absorb the smell over night... for the out side mix a bucket with warm water 1/2 cup of baking soda and a lil bit of dish soap just enough to make bubbles then wash car let sit with soap mix for a lil while then rinse.... i had to do this to my grandparents caddy when they ran over a huge half skunk half pittbull! it worked for me hopfully it helps

Ozone spray they also make bomb style air sanitizer for vehicles. also replace the cabin filter with fresh breeze carbon and baking soda infused filter both are in the car isle at walmart.while your at it see if you can find animal shampoo designed specifically for skunk smell.

I used the ozone spray from my job it neutralized it good but thanks for input guys rain didn't help the smell -_- ill start trying to hack away at it tommorow

This happened to me about 15 years ago.

I actually ran over the skunk, and it got the undercarriage at point blank range.

I tried everything I could, every cleaning and freshening product. I even tried letting the car sit for about 6 months to see if it would just go away on it's own.

It didn't. It really didn't even weaken.

Obviously I couldn't sell the car either. But it wasn't a really pricey car, so what I did was I had Kramer's in Stratford come grab it and took a tax write off for it.


(I also smelled for a week after the car got sprayed)

I hit a skunk in my MX6 bangin a corner at like 55-60 mph... Shit was bad for like a week or so and it just gradually went away.. fuckin sucked
