so just say the odometer was tampered with so nobody really knows the real mileage now?

i haven't checked on the title to see if it says the mileage or just zero.

normally when miles arent correct normally it would say on the title true milage unknown

Yea, that usually refers to the odometer resetting because of the mileage rolling over, if it was tampered with, it should state true mileage unknown unless someone simply checked the box by mistake or checked the wrong one. I was at the DMV once and the guy in front if me checked the box without understanding what it meant and they stamped the title lol

Like what 2kcivic said. There's 2 boxes u can check on the paper the dmv gives u to fill out. Its right next to where u gotta fill out the milage of the vehicle. I didn't read it and just checked it. Lol title came out saying exceeds mechanical limits.

^ u were probably that guy I saw at the DMV that day! Lmao just joking bro, but yea that shit can be confusing if your filling it out in a hurry. There's also a few questions that are dealer specific and people still fill it out

Yea u just gotta explain to the guy ur selling to that u checked that stupid box on the paper. Its stupid how dmv puts it right next to the miles after u write how many miles u got. I honestly thought it said "I hereby wrote the miles to the best of my knowledge " or some stupid shit like that.

and then the dmv rips u a new asshole because they expect you to be an expert on this shit..they give no leeway. its an honest mistake that alot of ppl make, and once you mark the title, its like all hell breaks loose with them. im all like "listen bitch! i dont work here every damn day so give me a freakin break. im a F'n mechanic, now let me get a do over"
