i agree with the OP ..imo This site is good to buy and sell car parts within CT other than that this site is ehhh not up to par. Ctvtec compared to Honda-tech is a 1.6 single cam with 250k running on 2 cylinders. I honestly think Honda-tech is a great site due to the great forums members posts and how well the mods regulate it ..dont get me wrong CTvtec has potential ….

I agree with you, there is no doubt honda-tech is the place to go for mechanical advise. you can def get it here too but depending on who helps you it may not be so helpful.

I really want to get this site back into member rides threads, meets, street racing, and shit for sale. that's what it's ment to do

Honda-tech is also owned and operated by a company who has a large network of forums. Everything ranging from home and garden forums to bodybuilding forums.

They have a large income coming in and are very expensive to advertise on. H-T also pays a shit ton of money to monitor those forums and the mods are not just any joe shmoe who has a nice car or knows illir..

This is a low income, low budget site but it gets thr job done for what we use it for. Sometimes shit gets out of hand but for the most part the mods do exactly what a mod should do.

Ultimately, it is Admin's choice on how he wants to capitalize on this forum. As of right now, this forum will never compare to H-T but thats mainly because the advertising price on this site is alot cheaper than it should be which is a benefit to those of you who do advertise.

H-T makes you commit to a 6 month agreement minimum and it is a couple thousand dollars to be a sponsor there.

I just became a sponsor on K20A.org and even though thats a well known, small site, it was expensive to advertise but that money is getting put to good use because that is a very clean forum and people rarely get away with breaking rules.

And as for the advertising, it actually is a small fee. If you are running a business are are crying about 75 dollars a month, or even to a few people that i give deals to and still dont advertise cause they say its alot. You just should not be in business.

H-T Will always be a great website. They have thousands of people from all over the place that come on the site. We are a CT based website where people are trying to show off and act tough so when we are all at meets or the track, they want to look cool.

The Mods are doing a GREAT job, they know they are also!! Mods should ALWAYS be respected to the fullest on here. Yes i do agree they fuck around sometimes also, but there not doing it to piss you off or cause they hate you, its just to get a laugh out of it with people to make the site interesting. DO NOT TAKE THINGS PERSONAL... We all know each other or know a friend thats friends with another..
People do not post pics and still talk shit, well there are rules on here, which were created BY THE MEMBERS, so that we can make this a better place for everyone!!

We need to have more non talking shit threads on here.
We do have a few members that talk alot of shit that have been given alot of chances, but its come to a point where enough is enough..

You can never fully get rid of the crybabies, you can only regulate them at best. I spent countless hours giving useful advice/help in tech sections, and moderating the for sale threads, and trying to rebuild overall site integrity. But the reality is, you teach some the rules but then theres a whole nother generation of shit talkers, crybabies, and assholes. It never ends. It all comes down to integrity, some have it here but most don't. I have not been very active on the site for these reasons.
