1998 Ford Escort SE Wagon. Basically, whenever the radiator cooling fan comes on, it makes this high pitched squealing noise. I wanted to put the repair off for a bit, but I'm thinking about doing the repairs sooner via going to a junkyard and getting the parts. Before I do, I just want to check if it is most likely the fan motor? Is there any other part that has the potential to make this noise whenever the fan comes on? The noise is coming directly from the fan area, and is in sync with its speed

If its a 2.0
The drive belt for 2.0L engines has no manual belt adjustment, since these engines use an automatic belt tensioner. Drive belt slack is taken up by the automatic tensioner. The belt tensioner has a belt length indicator. If the indicator marks are not between the MIN and MAX marks, the belt must be replaced.- 90 eF hatch
