canadian honda model

im looking around at hondas and i found one that is a canadian model, when i went to check the vin on the engine, the green tag was not there, only a black and white sticker with like a barcode on it....does anyone if the canadian models use only the sticker or was the car missing its vin tag?
98 civic lx btw

Pretty sure its suppose to have it. Just installed an 05 civic tranny into my 02 and the tranny had the green vin # tag on it as well. So I think it should be the same for engines as well. And the Canadian tranny fit right into my US civic

^^^x22 should have vins only JDM models came without Vin tags
