Definetly should have never touched it until u took the crank pulley off first. You need a impact gun. Not all impact guns will take it off tho. I once spent a entire day trying to take one off with several impact guns.a torch will help. Heat the bolt up first.

Wedge a pry bar on the flywheel to the block while someone else breaks the pulley bolt lose.. done this plenty of times. Make sure you soak the bolt with WD or PB.
