Check engine light

Sup fellas, I wanted to get a cold air intake and figured I wouldn't need the pipe the filter connects to so I ended up buying just the filter and connected it to my intake hose. A few days later my SRS light went on and then my check engine light as well. I hooked it up to a computer and it have me code p0420 and says catalyst system efficiency below threshold level bank 1. Any ideas if me doing that with the intake has anything to do with that. It's a 2001 accord coupe v6 3.0

Just a coincidence. Shouldn't have anything to do the the intake.

Most likely your catalyc convertor going bad.

Any idea as to how much that would cost to replace?
