Activate sprint phone with unpaid bill

Ok I bought a iphone 4 off craiglists for sprint(no sim card) and I wasnt aware it had a bad esn..The bill for the phone was unpaid so sprint has a hold on tht phone.
Is there any way around this? unlocking jail breaking anythin? help me out

its not fucked up they do that at all. they shouldnt be able to pass the phone along untill thy pay the bill

and op you can get some decent money for it still on ebay even with a bad esn
