For you photographers on here what cameras are you guys runnin on? Im thinkin of getting a nikon d3100. Whats the best one to use for pics and video?

The Cannon PowerShot SX40 HS is a good camera to use, its like 400 though

I love the 3100 i use it on my videos its small and easy to use, along with my d90 and t2i

I'm running a Nikon D3000. Easily one of the best entry level cameras available and the price for 'em now are sweet n' low. If you want the convenience of live view (being able to see through the digital screen and not only the eyepiece / viewfinder) then I would instantly suggest the Canon T2i. It also shoots impressive videos so if you wanted to dip into both photography and videography, the option will be there for you.

I'm having a good time learning with my Nikon D3000 and since it only shoots photos, I can concentrate my craft on that one thing only. I believe a fair price for them right now would be no more than $340.

My friend has a T2i and it is a great camera, no flaws in my opinion. For a price of ~$600 or whatever they run for nowadays, you can't go wrong with those either.
