                lol id do the opposite and go b16 even for all motor same thing as a type r if u put it on gsr block

                            no bro u got it twisted....a type r is a b16 on steroids! they took perfect b16 head and block castings and just built it better....in the head the cams, and valve train is more aggressive...in the block pistons, rods,crank r beefed up...special things include internal oil squirters for extra lube....a girdle for crank vibration, to top it off the computer is more aggressively tuned

                            a gsr is unique to say the least becus this motor is not based on a b16 at all it was based on ls dynamics.....the stroke of the crank is similar there are no extrs like oil squirters...the head has an entirely diff casting..all ports are positioned differently and passeges shaped diff.....this is why u cant interchange gsr and b16/type r intake manifolds.....

                              rule number 1 im number 1
                              rule number 2 dont ever boost a b20 unless its sleeved, you're asking for boom
                              if you want to go all motor do a gsr head on a b20 bottom end for stroke and displacement reasons, you would defiantly want to bump up the compression though.
                              for boost id just go gsr or boost a LS with an LS head. If you plan on putting a vtech head on a stock LS bottom end and boosting it i feel like you'll have oil issues ls/vtech turbo without forged internals=bad day IMO either way good luck with whatever you're doing. remember! its not about how much power you make but how much is making it to the wheels!!! tires, tractions bars, torque dampers and legit suspension!
