Engine Bulding Help

Whats up Guys. Im looking for recomendation on book and or software that explains the basics on engine building. In the process of building my motor i have been given so much bulshit and false data that I want to educate myself. Im looking for something that explains compression ratios, lift and clearnce ect. if you dont know plz bump this up

bump.. by any chance have you taken a look at the Haynes Reapair Manuals? idk if it's on the guidelines of what ur looking for, but it gives helpful information/step by step guides on teardown/rebuild processes.. u can find them at local autozone.. they go for bout 15 bucks.. hope u find what ur lookin for.. just take your time and do it right you will be rewarded I drive a stock rebuilt ls turbo tuned @ 15psi and its been 6 months no prob except axles lol
