  • Remote Starter and Alarm installer?

Any Recomendations? I called around and seems like the going price is $300+ That seems kinda high....its for a 2004 Honda Accord EX-L. Pretty willing to travel anywhere in CT but prefer hartford new haven areas.

1 of the reasons its so expensive is because you have a chipped key and they would have to add an attachment to the alarm which is a bypass so it can enable the remote start

sigh, haha thanks guys. Maybe ill just walk my lazy butt out there and start the car lol. I found this shop that says 275$ for remote starter and alarm installed. They said they will install a bypass module. Hopefully that doesnt make my car easier to steal..

no because if the person that does it for you does it the right way then, they should enable a starter kill which means the car will turn of as soon as the alarm goes off, the brake is depressed, or the gas is pressed without the key in the ignition. hope I was of help

lol aright seeing that i own a distribution company that sells to stores. One of two things you have thats an issue. First is you have a transponder. (Chip in key) the modules to integrate to the factory system is upwords to 100$ the second problem is that you are trying to do a alarm and remote starter. Thats over 100$ cost. right there you have over 200$ in just parts with out install. If I were to do a side job its gonna be 100$ just to install your parts. As per the best buy comment. Those installers are hacks. Ive seen some of the worst installs done by them. I wouldnt break my back for under 100$ to install a unit. ok you want to be cheap and do just a remote starter its cool. the factory alarm is a joke. Ill smash your fucking window, clime thru there and steal all your shit without a sign of the factory alarm going off. That is the reason you get an aftermarket alarm because the shock sensor will make the alarm go off. Hope this helps and stop being cheap. also please ask what unit they are doing cuz there are alot of junk units out there that you might as well not even do it.
My turbo is louder then yours!!!

Well I will have to disagree with you about the whole "best buy hack" comment. Why? Because I myself use to work for best buy and all of our work was done to perfection.we soldered every single wired and used electrical tape on every single wire as well.I'm sure that not every best buy does the same work since it all depends on the installer.I use to work for best buy in Norwalk and we made sure to do good work.I do agree with you on the cost of installing a alarm/remote starter. I myself would not bother installing a alarm or remote starter unless I charge $100+ on labor.sometimes it's alot of work for so little money.if the Op decides to take his car to best buy, check out the best buy in Norwalk and have Jerome do your install. Gl with what ever choice you choose.
