ok so over the past couple days i have really started to notice how abused and over used the work "mint or minty" is getting. It used to be that "mint" meant that a car was emaculate or in other words flawless, but it seams now that is being severly over used. I can understand if a car was considered mint if it just had like a little curb rash on the wheel lips and maybe a couple small tears in the seats, but now the word "mint" is being used to describe from what i have seen are some pretty badly rotted rust buckets. The other day i heard somebody say they had just picked up this car which was "mintttttt" in his words and when i saw the car there was huge dents and dings paint fade and rust in a quarter panel, and this was not the first time i have heard that, i have been noticing a pretty big trend, so now when i here the word "MINT" or "MINTY" I take it with a grain of salt... Any way this is just me voicing this lol, maybe we can get the words minty and mint back to the origans of the word and maybe it will beguin to get its original meaning back. :)

i agree. Mint is thrown around too loosley. Its absurd. Both mine and your EK are nicer than 90% of the cars on this site, and i would not call either of them "mint" or "fresh"
As to the word "fresh"- a 1992 honda civic with rotas on it is NOT FRESH. As a matter of fact, it would be the opposite of fresh. That would have been fresh in 1992. Not 19 yrs later.
My 4 door teg is mint, according to ctvtec, with 212k miles, rust on THE FRONT FENDERS and NO clear coat left. But i got wheels, so its mint and fresh, and worth 4x its actual value.
