  • engine choice, need help

Ok, so i'm gunna be picking up a 97' integra shell within the next week, now i'm looking for an engine, i really want a k20, but for the price of a k20 i can just go do a sti swap on my subaru. With that said, what is the next best engine? I'm probably going to turbo it down the line. I was looking at a b20, but my boys have been telling me to get a b16, what is the best engine out of all honda engines excluding k20s though? i would like something with some decent power, not some 120hp p.o.s.

if you plan on going turbo down the road, a b16 isn't your best option.. you're better off with a GSR

your right but if money is a factor..

KidQuick91-- what's your goal for HP? are you trying to build a track car, DD, or just a weekend car?

What kind of HP are you looking for and on what budget?

honestly if it suits the budget f2b the blue top jdm motor and put a little boost on that. the gearing would be right on the money with a gsr or b16 tranny. f22's have steel sleeves so itll hold boost unlike a b20 and its already fairly low compression. or you can build an h2b all motor car. it really depends what you're looking for. but if i was you put a single cam in the integra daily drive the shit and do the sti swap in your subi the honda game isnt really something worth getting into right now.
                    Honda sucks. Over priced junk.

you could go h2b that is the best substitute for a k swap and alot cheaper. but if you wanna go with some boost later down the road just get a gsr and call it a day.
