  • title search

I recently bought a car that I got a great deal on..(Couldn't pass this up)
and it came with no title. I do have the registration from the lat person who had it legit.

-I got the car from someone, who lost the title but his name is on the registration. Anyway my girl went to the Dmv today and they said the last person who had the car legit has to do the title search. Well for all I know this dude could be in the dirt. Anyone have an info?..Or maybe know someone that could hook your boy up..

Money is def green for the hookup....

No they didnt say anything about that, but I sent my girl this morning. I didnt even know that was in the car until about 6pm when I called my boy who I got the car from.

If this really turns into a pain in the d!ck, Ill buy the same car / color but find a crashed one. (which Im sure wont be that big of a deal)

pretty simple if you can contact the last owner on the old reg you need a lost title form and the last registured owner and you need to both fill out the paper with a notary present and stamp it then bing you have a paper as good as a title.

or there is another way arond it if you know a notery. i do it sometime you can fill out the last owners info and forge his singutre and if you know a notery that will stamp it and you are good.

if both fail eather you cant get ahold of the old owner or you cant get a notery to stamp it with out the old owner you can do a ABA peper work and file for Lost title but that can take up to a year. what dmv will do is you fill out the ABA paper work and then will send certified latter to last know owners and if they dont no respond or do and say they sold the car off and no longer own it dmv will award you the title. if you can show a bill of sale.

you got my number text me if you need any help

that works if you have some one that will notorize it with out the other party (last owner) present to do it.

tony, i ran into something similar with a jeep i purchased.

kid lost the title, but it was regi to him previously. need a lost title form, all you need is his name, address, signature etc. im sure you can make the needing his signature part work.

i went to dmv with the form, which needs to be notarized. they looked up the jeep by the vin number, came back good, and got it registered in bpt that day. there's a black guy there who works at the info desk (who's name i didn't get), but he was a lifesaver. very helpful, got me everything i needed and was friendly with it.

lmk if you run into any questions
