I think there's a real fine line between being a "ricer" and just doing shit to your car because you like it. There's a few cars I've seen what would be consider "riced" and actually looked decent, and I could see the look the guy was going for. A well thought out car with the proper execution shouldn't be slanged as a "ricer". Maybe the guy wants his car to look different without any performance gains...I know some of you will shout BLASPHMEY!

Ricers are the idiots who think cosmetic pieces give an additional performance gain (downforce yo!), refer to their car as "JDM" after buying "japanese" lugnuts or some dumbshit. Put the "JDM Arrows(?)" on their car (btw those are for "amateur driver" and "senior (old person) driver" respectively), consider "the shocker" JDM (it's american orientated asshole, there's no "lee" in Dane Cook). Instead of saying an honest "I don't know" when asked something about their car, they make something up on the fly...we've all heard it..."I see you have an aftermarket intake and a header on your D16, how much you putting down".."oh about 340hp and 1.21 gigawatts of power.".....case in point, a ricer is an incredibally ignorant person in the import community which gives the rest a bad name.

It's sad, because in the early 90's there was no "JDM"....you either got the parts from Japan, and when asked "oh these are the japanese fender mirrors"....JDM is something that was commercialized to make money off suckers after FnF came out. Everytime I see an ad on CL or here even about a "JDM Car" for sale I roll my eyes, click, and lo and behold it looks like the USDM release.
