I bought a car and I'm going to register it. But the previous owner was originally selling it to someone else and their info is on the back. I have a bill of sale from the owner on the front of the title to me. I think I will be good but was hoping someone here had some experience with a similar situation.

The person who he signed it to has to be present while you register it. It has happen to me.

Yea I know the whole story. Seller was pretty cool. Still in touch with him if I need him to sign anything else. Just hoping I don't have to.

tell the owner to go to the dmv with u an say that he lost the tittle an that he selling the car 2 u, just got it show proof that he was the original owner

I had the same issue the bak of the title was signed to someone else. An i had the kid make a bill of sale out to me. I tild the dmv the kid had signed it but he never gave money for the car an they just wrote void on the back of the title an let me reg it with just the bill of sale

or just have him sign a paper and have the bank notarized !

Well the back is filled out to an impound lot that had the car for a short while and the owner was going to sell it to them instead of paying the fees but decided to get the car back instead. But I have a bill of sale from the owner on the front of the title. But I just realized I owe taxes to my town so i cant register anyway. I will try and see what happens after I get them paid.
