  • ? about the different types of hondas

    i am kinda new to the honda scene and i keep hearing terms like ek,ej, da,...etc... and i was wondering like what years and what cars do the terms go with. pictures to go along would be nice. i believe that i have an em2 but not quite sure here is a pic

    Yes, your's is an EM2, you can tell the chassis code by looking at the VIN number, its a few letters in.

    Ek is probably the most common one you'll here, but you'll rarely see a real one in the united states.

    EK9 is the chassis code for the Japanese 96-00 civic Hatch back. In america, its the EJ6 although everyone and their mother will call it an ek

    92-95 Hatch is the EG in Japan...

    well i just found out that 99% of the honda owners out there are wrong on their chassis codes......most of us think 92-95 hatchbacks are eg's 96-00 hatchbacks are EK's etc........ feast your eyes on this......... JDM and USDM Civic Chassis Codes Chassis Motor Origin Year Vehicle...
