1.Purple power
2.Tooth Brush
3.larger brush
4.trash bag to cover CAI
5.blow gun to shoot all the water out after
6.power washer
Leave the car running, spray all the dirty areas w/ the purple power or any degreaser, brush the dirty and hard to reach areas w/ the tooth brush and larger brush to loosen the dirt and grease, cover your intake and go at it. Dont hold the water on the dizzy or the alternator, and if you valve cover is startind to flake be careful with the powerwasher on that. i learned the hard way. After get you blow gun and blow any water near the spark plugs, dizzy, and alternator.

Def cover dizzy and intake ..make sure when you do it ..do it with time ..take a good brush and an old towel and get to those hard to reach areas like on the firewall...will look extra good especially since your car is white ..also brush up on under the hood which tends to build up dirt and grimey substance ..also last but not least take before and after pics to show us :)*S14 Kouki *

i've had bad luck pressure washing. It always comes out better with some elbow grease, engine degreaser (i like the foaming shit from autozone), a brush, hose, and some saran wrap.
wash it with the motor cold. first thing first, cover parts that you think may be a problem (ignition parts, like the dizzy), air filter, open plugs like o2 sensor plugs, etc.
then QUICKLY spray the motor with a hose, I've always found that the degreaser works better on that than a dead dry motor. let it sit for like 10 minutes, scrub scrub scrub. scrub everything with a gentle brush. DONT FORGET ABOUT THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HOOD! this gets dirty too.
wash the whole motor, spray the fuck out of everything. go over spots you missed again, and repeat. after the motor is all washed, start the car. let it idle for like 20 minutes, drive it around the block a few times.
come back and blow off the motor with an air hose to get water out of places it's been hiding. be carefeul, cuz it'll be hot now. once that's done, I usually use aerosol tire shine/trim shine on the entire bay. let it sit for about 5 minutes to 'flash' (set up, spread out ,etc) then wipe the whole thing with a clean rag.
to finish, spray some tire shine on that same rag, and rub down the black parts of the motor, hoses, fuseblocks, etc. with that rag.
looks bling blaow when it's all done. clean shiny (chrome, aluminum, polished bits) with glass cleaner when done and use some metal polish to finish it all off.
