So I got another em1 that I was going to use as a parts car but decided to fix it and sell it so I know it has to pass a dealer saftey inspection and airbag cert but as far as dmv goes I know I have to trailer the car to dmv and after that I'm lost anybody done this before or have any advice it would be much appriciated trying to do this fairly soon

pics pics pics pics and more pics they want befor and after pics of every thing and paper work for all new or used parts instaled and all safty items must work lights horns seat belts breaks good tires good needs to get towed in and you have to have a big stack of paper work for all parts and you have to have the air bag safty tested honda dealer will do it for you and write you a slip for it. all stock parts amber blinkers who whole dealRIP Nick

Wat about wheels their 15's but defntly not stock with mint tires and I only have a few pics of the before damage and only a few reciets from parts will a bill of sale from another. Car I used as parts be ok or will they want more then thatComment

depends on who you get there and how there day is but i can tell you save you self the head ach and always do more then you think you need. and yes you will need stock civic wheels and tires any thing aftermarket is just a reason for them to fail you and waste you four hour wait in line and the tow there. and you need ALOT of pics befor and after so then can see the damage and what was fixed. i been down this road to many time with bikes and car and even trailers it is such a pain in the ass, but i found out it is better to come with way more then needed and make them happy then show up with shit and get told to hit the road.
just rember it is dmv there is a long wait, the car must be towed in with all four wheels off the ground or they can bust you balls for that. and stock stock stock.
i have been there and they walk around the car look at my papers cheack the dash lights and send me on the way. but i have also been there were they lookin over every ince of the car removed wheels and look at breaks and tire tred depth and even look for spare tire and jack cheack all the lights looked for missin bolts ...... and on on and all depends on the inspector and his mood really.
and you can bitch to them all you want and then just say cya lol i seen people bitch and yell and cry and get no where.
that is why i always come with a nice big folder with lots of pics paper for all the parts and pics of the whole process.
if you have any hook ups with a dealer some dealer can make a appt to have a inspecter come there there shop and do it all but usually they want a few cars there at a time to do it..

I'm not reading this entire post lol but I can provide u with the best solution. What I would do,is take that car to Vermont and get it registered under your name with your CT address(yes u can do it) from there u go take the car to inspection which is easy as he'll in Vermont since they don't ask for pictures,receipts etc.they simply check the vins to make sure they match and your good to go.DoneOriginally posted by knuckk

you can do that also but you have to watch your ass there to the CT dmv have been cracking down on them also and are trying to change it around so even out of state rebuilt or salvage cars need to CT inspection. for the simple reason that alot of dealer are buyin salvage cars in ct hacking them together and doing that in VT and then selling them again in CTRIP Nick

Yeah this cars turning into a fucking nightmare I can barley get paperwork and pics from when it was hit and as far as fixing it I bought a parts car and fixed it myself I might just have to find pics of my boys build thread and tell them that that was the car during rebuild processComment
