all out of state title must go to inspection for vin check thats the most important cross ur finger hope that shit clean

edit*** copied from dmv website for out of state vehicles

"an emissions test and vehicle identification number (VIN) verification is required, which are performed at the emissions station. Please bring your vehicle, registration and drivers license to your local emissions test station"

the only reason they give you temp tags and want emissions done before they give you hard plates is for a vin verification so they know its really the car to the title.

ct does NOT do inspections anymore for out of state titles. All you need is the title and a bill of sale. Id recommend getting the car emissioned first before trying to reggy it only cos u have to pay like 80bux for the temp plate then go back and pay for the reggy, plates or transfer and all the taxes

you can get a temp for like $20 ^. but going thru emissions first def saves you a lil money and time from having to wait at dmv the second time.
