I wonder about out of state tho. Because I was told that if you sign the back of the title from the guy you bought it from to you. And then before regi'n the car sell it. That people from NY and NJ can't mess with it cuz it's already signed. I'm not sure how legit that is tho. Some guy told me that when he bought my crx. But he also tried giving me half the money when he told me that until I got him a new title. So maybe he was just trying to hustle me.

just told ya the deal lol i talk to dmv daily working at a dealer they changed the title devision around and not it is all backed up so title can take up to 8 months to come back to the owners..... as long as a title number has been issued you can do a lost title to get your copy of the title other then that the only way to sell a car is transfer of owner ship with a lost title paper.

wait what do you mean? So in other words, its not possible to transfer car ownership to someone else even though you dont have the title? Like my car is registered since December 2010 and im still waiting upon the car title but I have someone right now to buy my car and I want to sell it? So im going to DMV to just transfer ownership? That doesnt work?

I went to wetherfield DMV yesterday and they told me there is no way possible for someone to register a car you sold them with no title. There's no transfer of title nothing! I can't sell the car for 5 months now FML lol

yes you can get a lost title paper fill it out have the buyer fill it out notorize it and you have a paper as good as a title. and now as long as there is a title number avibale then it can be regiustured off that. i have done it 4 times already in the past month. also on the same paper you will see a box cheack for transfer of owner ship. as long as you have it notorized it is good as a title.
