What got you into the car scene.

As I sit here bored watching "the fast and the furious" I couldn't help but remember 2001 I had not a care in the world a 1970 volkswagen beetle i juat bought with my own cash and was trying to save funds to hook her up. Unfortuanitly not much has changed i also had a (R.I.P) 98 Toyota corolla automatic (wamp wamp) a short ram intake my sweet ass 15's (which at the time was lame) and slowly going for the clean look bc it was my moms car (wamp wamp) but fuckit she was happy I was staying out of trouble.

And I was wondering when everyone got introduce to the car scene and fell in love with there first movie car.

Naturally I'll have to start. My mother DD an 84 firebird so I was like okay no big deal. It wasn't until I saw Herbie goes bananas thats right Herbie was my first love. being 6 and watching a car bull fight was amazing! I column believe it when I told my father i wanted one when I could drive he said okay. And then after that my mother would rent movies Prominetly with cars as the focal point. (sidenote. When I was younger we couldn't afford cable so she would rent movies for free at the library until my dad scored a hotbox. Haha) starsky and hutch episodes smokey and the bandit. The herbie series and so on. As far as the fast and the furious goes it's an entertaining loose( real loose)look at the import scene as far as Cali goes. But then again I saw a movie on YouTube called "the last race" and that seemed like a more believable portrail. I dunno I'm babbling now. .

i remember when that shit came out i went to the pike that night and everyone was out..it was fucking insane..me in my 95 eclipse with white spray painted rims lol...and a muffler not a full exhaust...going to hartford at fast n go muffler paying 90 bucks to get a cheapo ebay muffler put on was the shit..i thought i was soo cool lol..i remember those days...

I had a mx6 I spray painted blue with a eBay muffler I hooked up with clamps and flex pipe haha my life was so care free then.I miss those days

I wish I was old enough for the game when F&F came out. It was a diff. Time, now those decals are LAME. but everybody knows that RX-7 was TOUGH. didn't really care for any other car in the movie, except for the supra.

I feel like growing up, F&F was like a unrealistic goal for a lifestyle. everybody wanted to live that to some extent. But, it def. Gave me my first glimpse at tuners. Can't hate on that movie. Lol. Wish the newer ones focused on cars more and not more drug dealers, & smuggling. But, there's nothing else like it.

i was actually into initial D & i was into wangan midnight before fast and the furious came out so that whole scene with the bodykits wasn't my thing since i was younger and the other thing i was originally into drifting as well

i hated modded cars..i remember the first modded car i noticed was a 95 eclipse,red with black and white vinyls,altezza tails and a huge shopping cart spoiler..i laughed and said it looked dumb(didnt know what a ricer was at that point) then i saw f&f and got into cars,my first car was a red 95 probe,i put a fart can on with flexpipe and clamps,put red r-racing seat covers,red steering wheel cover,red shift boot,had my chrome hubcaps,and a green neon on the trunk cover lmao.even had an ebay intake.

my neighbor had a red SI hatch and i helped him do the engine swap when i was a freshman then my dad bought me a blue STD hatch and i hooked that thing up and i totaled a year ago almost killed my self on the process... "/

id have to say i was about 10 and knew nothing about cars and i just moved back to CT an i saw a dudein my cirlce with a 95 eclipse that was so loud i heard it coming from around the block no prob
and one day i walked over and started askin him about his car he said that it was fast and not something to be interested in...then he burned out infront of me...after that all i could do was think about cars even though he was a dick haha

haha my first car civic dx 4dr automatic with a pepboys muffler lmao with led lights in replace of the windsheild wiper fluied nossels hahaa man i thought that shit was awsome haha, and i would have freakin loved to have lived the fast and the furious life style haha still haven yet found all the hot girls at the car scenes that they had, i think they set an unrealistic expectaion for the amount of women into tuning haha, but gotta love that first movie
