anyone know what happens if you forget to show to court date?

but yeah i apparently had to show up to court in bury, not for the trial just a hearing i guess.. idk exactly how it works since i never had a ticket before or even went to a court. it was supposed to be on the 22nd and for some reason i thought it was on the 28th.

it was for a stupid ass ticket, apparently my stock exhaust that recently got inspected is "illegal" back when cops were going nuts in bury pulling everyone over.

just wonderin what happens now, would i be able to call the court and ask for another court date or am i pretty much fucked?

It's not that serious. Just go to your local police departmen and turn yourself in. They may let you out on a pta since you turned yourself in. Or they may give you some bullshit $50 bond.

I missed a few court dates, they usually issue a warrant but I called the day after and just paid the ticket in full...Idk what your luck will be though

Warrant unless you call to reschedule which, depending on the court system, they will be cool with.

u have 5 days to call the court to reschedule, on the 6th day the warrant is issued, then u get the 50$ bond for failure to appear..and u have to turn urself in.

ive missed plenty of court dates for motor vehicle shit and never had a warrent issued or anything. like most others said, youll have to go back and reschedule and maybe pay a fee for having to reopen the case. youll be fine especcially if you can prove its a stock exhaust.
