You do realize that the NCAA and D1 are essentially one in the same right?

The NCAA is the governing body that regulates all college sports. That's why NCAA stands for National Collegiate Athletic Association.

D1 is just one of 3 divisional levels of college sports. There's also D2 and D3 wrestling teams as well. All D1, D2, or D3 means/what it's based on is how many kids go to your school. The bigger a school is the higher it's division is going to be so a school like University of Michigan that has 42,000 kids attending it is going to be a Division 1, i.e. D1 school, while a school like Eastern CT State University that only has 5,600 kids attending it is going to be a D3 school.

You sound stupid when you say something like "cain has a d1 wrestiling title while brock has a ncaa title. LMAO." because you're not saying what division Brock's title is from (a D1 title means much more then a D2 or D3 title) and also because you're completely wrong. Brock won a D1 NCAA Wrestling championship in 2000 but Cain never won a D1 NCAA championship, he was however a 2x All-American Div 1 NCAA Wrestler (which means he placed within the top 8 of the NCAA D1 Wrestling Tournament). He did however win a Junior College wrestling championship so maybe that's what you were thinking of.

As for the fights Brock got controlled and destroyed the entire fight. Cain had control of him from the start of the fight. Brock looked like a moron bumrushing him in the beginning of the fight and swinging wildly with no technique at all. Cain obviously just avoided that and after Brock was done being a caveman Cain took complete control of the fight and beat Brock's ass like it was nothing. To try to say that Brock didn't get his ass beat is just ludicrous.

I always admit when im wrong, and ya did get confused with his junior wrestling title. I have no experience with college wrestling at all and only know of there both wrestling experience from talk around the gym so that's where I got confused. I also said that brock thought he could go in the cage and do whatever he wanted which led to him coming out like a bull, throwing his hands like crazy and failing miserably. Velaquez's ground and pound is unstopable once he starts on you. They were expecting a five round battle because of how strong brock's chin is, velasquez's cardio and just overall 2 of the best heavyweights. I mean just look at the carwin fight lol.

I figured that's probably where you got confused. I'm big into wrestling since I wrestled for like 5 or 6 years, before HS and then through HS, and I'm also big into MMA so I figured I should correct you on the wrestling background and make sure you knew what you were talking about next time.

I don't know who was expecting a 5 round battle but I know I certainly wasn't. I knew for a fact that Cain was either going to sub Brock, because of his weak sub defense, or T/KO him with his GnP. There was no way Brock was surviving 5 rounds with Cain since Cain is better in every area of the game and I knew he'd be controlling Brock from the beginning of the fight until he finished him off.

As for the rest of what you said I definitely agree.

Personally I wasn't expecting five rounds either. I was shocked it only went 1 round tho. My pick for that fight was round 3 tko lesnar but once I saw him run like a bull and all wild like he did I looked at my girl and said "It's over he's either gonna gas out or get clocked the way he is swinging. and that when he caught cain's huge knee lmao. I can honestly say I don't think lesnar used his brain what so ever that fight and tried to rely on his power and body to put in work for him. Cain's smaller hand's also what I think allowed his GnP to slip threw brock's forearms/defense.

I'm naturally a striker. I love to bang, not afraid to get hit and love to throw hands. I can honestly say I was a 1 dimensional fighter and hated going to the ground. Still need to work on my grappling but i'm a whole different fighter then just a year or so ago. Still prefer to stand up and bang but if it goes to the ground then so be it.

Hands down brock is still the better fighter and will get his. Brock wasn't mentally prepared for fight, he thought he could go in there and do anything he wanted which was his downfall. No one has his size, power or cardio. Everyone loses, everyone makes a mistake.

Jake shield did not win his fight at all, if you wanna wrestle go back to the fucking olympics, he threw 2 punches the whole fight. He didn't do any damage at all to Martin. Never leave it in the hands of the judges.

I'm also glad that no one in this thread really know's anything about mma or bjj. Been doing it for awhile lol.

And if any of you are interested in starting mma...ultimatemmact.com
he was a wwe fighter for 10-12 yrs....hes a big strong homo...thats about it...they shoulda let the fight continue??? for what?? he was done.....he showed absolutely no stand up skills whatsoever...and wrestling??hahaha...all he did was embarass himself...

plus the kick that cain threw was with his left leg so there was no way that brock got cut from it on his left side of the face..so excuses, excuses,,he got cut from getting pounded out,,,thats it..

The thing I found the funniest about the fight was how leading up to it in the UFC Primetime's and every interview or article about Brock they always talk about his head trainer, Marty something, that was Brock's assistant wrestling coach when he wrestled and is now his head MMA trainer and the guy that makes sure Brock peaks in time for the fight and puts together his game plans for his fights, telling him the best way to win and what he needs to do in the fight. Well this guy is in charge of telling Brock how to fight the best fight for him to win each and every time and every article and in the UFC Primetime's they made it seem like he was some genius when it came to putting together fight plans but then the part I found funniest was how Brock just came out there with his head down, his eyes probably closed, and was just windmilling his arms around swinging at absolutely nothing. I found it hilarious how Marty is supposed to be a genius at putting together fight game plans and then that's how Brock came out fighting. I was watching the fight just laughing to myself thinking that Marty told Brock to go out like a caveman and windmill his arms around and just throw the wildest punches possible in the hopes of catching Cain in the first 15 seconds because he knew after that Brock stood no chance.

exactly...his whole strategy was to get that first takedown when he charged em and just ground n pound Cain....but it failed...then he tried takedowns and that failed...nothing he did worked..
