getting beat for messed up parts

so heres the deal i recently needed new censors for my car so instead i went looking for a new head with all the works i came across a fully built ls head cams valves port polish all the works well i was told the head was good under 1000 miles on it took it off cuz somethign went wrong on the block got a ecu mani head and othwer stuff took a hour and a half drive all the way to the kids house at 1 in the morning cuz he was selling it early in the morning im not one to post names and put ur bussiness out there like that but none the less the head was messed up paid a lisenced guy to put it on and tune it and stuff but when he put it on the whole head chattered changed the gears thinking the belt was doing it nope the whole head was shot even went as far as putting the cans in a diff head might as well use something useful so to anyone on ctvtec be honest with ur shit if its fucked or u think something is wrong let people know cuz now im over a grand in the whole with no head on my car and i gotta eat it cuz i bough used parts buying a messed up head sucks at least i have all good internals

You could of prob built your own no vtec b18 head for a grand or less depending on what deals u find

damn that sucks. i was gonna get that whole motor too but i found it sketchy cuz he wanted to trade for stock. And wouldn't let me see it running first said i passed on that deal. You can't trust anyone on here. No matter what they say. Take it as a lesson learned n never buy anything off him again.

Dam. I kno someone on here who purchased a complete swap from a member on here and the motor ended up being blown n the tranny grinding gears. U kno who u are. Plus people trading cars that are fucked n still don't care.it happens bro n sux that some people just don't care.

yea but i got a great deal on the head and ecu just got that high from labor charges because he kept taking it off and on trying to figure out the problem

you sure the head is toast? what kind of chattering? did you try valve lash adjustment every time you tq a head they need to be adjusted back to spec.

also check for a broken valve spring

the head, valves, timing was checked multiple times from a couple diffrent mechanics.. the main mechanic that did all the work had a fully built gsr and is not new to honda's or acura's in any way..
