my opinion would be fiberglass..below are a few comments that i copied from another site about mdf downsides ..
1..MDF is garbage. It does warp if you don't store it correctly (i.e. level and straight on a rack). Water and moisture destroy it unless you take the types of steps to protect it that most people don't. It has a nasty chemical odor when you cut it that you know can't be good (formaldehyde!). This is something to be used for desperate homeowners on a budget as a short term (read: less than 20 years) remodel, or developers that are churning out McMansions for the ignorant to ogle at. 2.it's toxic and should not be inhaled.

MDF sounds best but glass you can do anything with. If you are doing a custom box make a mdf box them make a glass shell. Best of both worlds. Also if you are worried about the fumes that come from cutting mdf and smoke your a dipshit...not pointing a finger but seriously smoking is bad for you n stuff.
