  • Another f'n accident

So my beater got hit and I am going to get it appraised tomorrow. I am not going to get much for the car and would like some other opinions on what to do if it get's totaled out. Should I buy i back (it's reliable and I have a few aftermarket parts for it that haven't gone on it yet) or should I sell the parts and spring for another car (needs to be under 2g, 4 door, 5 speed, 4 banger, and not a rust bucket)? I have been looking around and have not found many of what I would like (90's cars: golf, jetta, civic, g20, accord, integra, protoge, or sentra) and am thinking it will be a huuuuuge pain in the ass. I am willing to put in some work but don't want to buy someone's failed project. Gimme some input and some other perspectives (or info on other cars). Thanks in advance!

Rear ended, the trunk wasn't touched but the part the trunk latches to is pushed in about 1/4 inch and the bumper is roughed up. The rest of the body is good.

if it's totaled wont they give you a salvaged title? if so it's worthless. If anything buy it back n part it out if you can make money. But don't buy it to keep as a dd if they give you a salvaged title.

I was thinking about the salvage title thing but the car is solid, who know's how reliable the next car I get will be. I don't think I need a lawyer, no injuries and the insurance company is paying up.

Yea they will salvage the title but ad long ad he keeps it registered and insured in his name he can drive it like it is that's what hermin did with the 4 door til he got hit again and it got totaled for the second time

Just got back from the appraiser and they didn't total it...now the insurance company is trying to figure out if they are going to pay or not. The dude driving said he lent the car to a friend...

I hope not, the car really isn't worth shit so I would be getting a lawyer for like $500 of damage on a car that's worth a grand. I would probably pay more in fees than I would get if the dude even pays up.
