need help headunit problem

ok heres the scoop.

i bought a 94ex coupe weeks back. wen i bought it the speakers didnt work except the drivers door. OK, so i took out the head unit and noticed how the main harness was HACKED ( soldered,cut,spliceed,random wires soldered to different colors, electrical tape everywere.!) so i went to chuck and eddies and cut the harness out and souldered the 12 wires back into the right spots(color matched) so when i went to plug the headunit back in... i didnt get power to it. i checked the fuse and replaceed it on the headunit and still no luck. took a head unit out of my other coupe with the adaptor harness for civis and plugged it in.... and alls i got out of that one was just the red power button lits up.. but not ebough power to run the head unit. idk what the problem is but im waiting for my friiend to print me a schematic.

please gimme ur 2cents on wat i shud do from here..

i cant stand the 43206897250 thousand crazy sounds my coupe makes. i need music lol

Try to just power the unit itself by plugging the (RED+YELLOW) to the positive and the (black) to the negative and see it that works. If it those just take it from there but just try this to make sure that the head unit is still good. GOOD LUCK
